Fixed drone jamming systems, often installed as permanent infrastructure, provide a stable and consistent approach to countering unauthorized drone activity. Here are several benefits associated with fixed drone jamming:
- CONTINUOUS PROTECTION
24/7 Security: Fixed drone jamming systems can operate continuously, providing round-the-clock protection against potential drone threats. This is particularly important for critical infrastructure and high-security areas.
- STRATEGIC PLACEMENT
Optimal Location: Fixed installations can be strategically placed to cover specific areas, offering comprehensive protection for critical assets, restricted zones, or sensitive facilities.
- DETERRENCE
Visible Deterrence: The presence of a fixed drone jamming system serves as a visible deterrent, dissuading individuals from attempting to fly drones in restricted areas.
- AUTOMATED OPERATION
Automated Responses: Fixed systems can be integrated with automated detection and response mechanisms, minimizing the need for manual intervention, and ensuring rapid and effective counteraction against drone threats.
- INTEGRATION WITH SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE
Seamless Integration: Fixed jamming systems can be integrated with existing security infrastructure, such as surveillance cameras and access control systems, enhancing overall security measures.
- COVERAGE OF LARGE AREAS
Wide Range Coverage: Fixed installations are suitable for protecting large areas, such as airport perimeters, military bases, and critical infrastructure sites, where continuous, broad coverage is essential.
- CONSISTENT SIGNAL DISRUPTION
Stable Jamming Performance: Fixed systems can provide stable and consistent signal disruption, reducing the likelihood of drones penetrating the protected airspace.
- LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Regulatory Adherence: Fixed installations can be designed and configured to comply with local regulations and legal frameworks governing drone jamming, ensuring responsible and lawful use.
- REDUCED RESPONSE TIME
Immediate Response: Fixed systems, when integrated with automated detection, can provide near-instantaneous responses to drone threats, reducing the response time and enhancing security measures.
Let’s take a closer look at our fixed Drone Defence jamming/drone mitigation options:
AeroDome
AeroDome is a 6-section jamming fixed drone mitigation system, effective against all operator controlled common drones using 2.4 and 5.8 GHz, at a distance of up to 1km.
The system can also be integrated into an existing security system, providing an all-rounded solution for protecting against drones.
AeroDome also has the ability to be upgraded with a GPS jamming module (subject to ITAR rules), offering a further extensive fixed drone mitigation option.
This product is a great product for those looking for a more permanent drone defence option, with manual or automatic jamming.
Key technical information:
IP Rating – IP65
Dimensions – 455mm x 455mm x 505mm
Jamming frequencies – 2.4 and 5.8 GHz (Optional GPS)
Weight – 10kg
Operational range – Up to 1km depending on conditions
SkyFence
SkyFence is a fixed drone mitigation system, which works by installing multiple low-powered radio transmitters around the perimeter of a compound.
This provides an electronic ‘wall’ around a location and once activated, transmits a signal which is designed to overwhelm the drone’s radio transmissions. This then breaks the control and video link between the drone and its operator.
Key technical information:
Enclosure IP Rating – IP67
Panel Dimensions – 320mm x 200mm x 100mm
Jamming frequencies – 2.4 – 2.5 GHz and 5.8 – 5.9 GHz
Weight – 1.6kg
Maximum number of supported panels – 6 per control box installed
Each panel is installed at 40m intervals and has a ‘wall’ height of 500m.
Jamming disclaimer
While fixed drone jamming systems offer numerous advantages, it’s essential to carefully consider the specific requirements of each situation to determine the most appropriate counter-drone solution. Additionally, compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing drone jamming is crucial to ensure responsible and lawful use.
